Hi everyone. I am a new member here at The Scribe's Guild and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
First, I would like to thank Loriendil for inviting me to join. (You have a genuine love for the craft and a real talent for, not only writing, but helping others to write. You are a rare gift among writers and it is a pleasure to know you and be part of your group.)
That being said, my name is Elissa; some of you may know me as Piffin from There. I am 32 years old, have been writing for a few years now, am currently working on a novel, and my latest short story may be read here: http://www.bigpulp.com/gliese_manning_solomon.html
My favorite things to write are action scenes and dark character studies. I don't have a preferred genre, but almost everything I write ends up more or less hard boiled.
My favorite authors are James Ellroy, Jim Thompson, William Gibson and Michael Moorcock. I also have an almost insatiable appetite for pulp adventures, including the works of Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs and H. P. Lovecraft (the only author who has ever actually scared me.)
My AIM name is on my profile page, as is my Facebook link. I hope to get to know at least some of you and that we can get down to some serious writing together. :)
