Soapmaking

Postby Lori Smith » Wed Feb 21, 2007 3:58 pm

Hi Lee,

I have finally taken the time to completely check out this site and have read the blog and bio and all the other pertinent stuff, and I see you are a soapmaker! I never knew that! What kind of soaps do you make (melt and pour, cold-process?) I make my own soaps, too (cold-process) and love the creative outlet. I also enjoy giving soaps and other bath and body products (all homemade by me) to family and friends.

I am not into Sci-Fi, but I can tell you are by this site! You must have one vivid imagination! That's great! I have a vivid imagination, too, just not in "other world" areas! Maybe one day i will take the time to read your writings!

WHERE is everyone??? Has Princess Perky or Annalea or any of the others said why they haven't been around? I know this board is new, more difficult to find (for me!), and not just like the old board, but I am a bit surprised everyone seems to have dropped out of this site!!!

Had to write since I do not run into many other soapers! :)

Gaaaaaahhh!

Okay, don't ask me how I never saw your soap-making post!
Or perhaps I did and thought I answered and forgot and then never double-checked for replies.
Or perhaps I'm just a doofus. (most likely)

Anyway... to answer almost a year and a half old post, I use cold-process and hot-process. I have never tried melt and pour.
I need to get some cucumbers and make my famous (family-famous, I don't sell 'em) cucumber soap. It has loads of shay butter and some real cucumber in it, and I use a cucumber-melon fragrance for it, so it smells yummy.

I wish we could find the others that used to post on the old board. The limits of it were infuriating (admin-wise), and it was much more expensive per year than this one.
